Gili Trawangan is the largest of three beautiful Gili islands, only 3km long and 2km wide, the Gilis are located off the northwest coast of Lombok approximately 35km's from the eastern tip of Bali.
Due to the lack of fresh water on the Gili islands, they remained uninhabited until quite recently.
The first settlers were Bugis fisherman and sailors who used the islands as a stopping off point while also establishing coconut plantations as additional income.
Gili (the Indonesian name for island) and Trawangan meaning (Tunnel) due to tunnels built in the Japanese occupation of the island in World War 2.
It was only during the 1980's that backpackers started visiting the Gili islands and by the late 90's better quality accommodation was opened to attract a diverse range of visitor.

Eden Cottages is 3 new cottage style bungalows located on quiet and scenic north side of
the island amidst a lush coconut forest, but only a two minutes walk from the beautiful white sandy beachs and of Trawangan, and only a short distance to the restaurants, dive shops and bars.
Facilities -
Each cottage has A/C, TV, DVD player (including acceess to a DVD library), safety box, its own fresh water bathroom and a terrace with chairs and a hammock to relax in.
This overlooks our recreational area where you can swim in our crystal clear pool, relax in our traditional Indonesian Baruga or enjoy one of our fun activities which we have on offer.

High season - Rp550,000
Low season - Rp 350,000
Prices are based on 2 people sharing and include breakfast and 21% government tax and service.
There is an extra cost for an extra person, please enquire for prices, max 3 people per room.
Season definition
Low season - 16th January to 1st July 2012, 15th September to 15 December 2012.
Hilgh Season - 16th December 2012 to 16th January 2013,
Please note - high season prices apply also for the times of the Nyepi festival in Bali, Easter break, and Idul Fitri at the end of Ramadan. )
