located on the north of Gili Trawangan, of Lombok's Northwestern shores, Desa Dunia Beda Beach resort is set amid a shaded coconut grove bordered by white sandy beaches.
ACCOMMODATION -
Guest are accomodated in Typical Javanese house resting on stones plinths and elegantlydecorated with traditional furnishings, primitive artifacts. All joglos are naturally ventilated and so as to preserve authenticity of surroundings, and therefore do not have air conditioning.
Each house has a sea view and offers full comfort including open air bathroom, private balcony, mini bar, safety box, fans and kimonos. A large family house of two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, completes the village.
The environmentally friendly wooden "Joglo" is a typical traditional house and built in Yogyakarta, in Java.
Each piece of the house was transported by boat to Gili Trawangan to be reconstructed on site.
Each Joglo is uniquely furnished with hand-carved antique tables, screens, cupboards, ornate mirrors and primitive artifacts.
Open-weaved lamps cast intricate patterns adding to the unique atmosphere od Desa Dunia Beda.
Some of the houses even have traditional four-poster beds, built into the beams to the central funnel of the roof.
A set of antique double opening doors lead into a sunny bathroom at the back, offering total open-air privacy, partially sheltered by a roof.
